BRCA1 plays a role in cell-cell contacts and invasion capacity
Time-lapse videomicroscopy of CHO wild type cells (CHO-WT) vs. CHO cells expressing high levels of eGFP-BRCA11634-1863 (CHO-High). Loss of cell-cell contact and independent migration of separated cells into the wound space was most apparent in CHO-High cells. As a result, the perimeter of wounds in CHO-High monolayers appeared discontinuous and irregular in contrast to the more uniform boundary of wounds in CHO-WT. Playback speed, 12 FPS.
